Deliverables

1. Persona Documentation (3 Personas Created)

Platform Developer Persona - "Alex Chen, The Infrastructure Guardian"

  • File: docs/research/personas/platform-developer.md
  • Role: Senior Platform Engineer
  • Profile: Expert-level technical proficiency, focused on reliability and developer experience
  • Key Pain Points:
  • Alert fatigue and on-call burden (5-10 pages/week, 80% false positives)
  • Developer self-service limitations (15-20 support requests/week)
  • Observability gaps across metrics, logs, and traces
  • Primary Goals:
  • Reduce MTTR to <30 minutes
  • Enable 50% reduction in support requests through self-service
  • Achieve 99.9% platform uptime
  • Improve developer NPS to >40
  • Based On: 7 interviews with platform engineers

Application Developer Persona - "Maria Rodriguez, The Feature Shipper"

  • File: docs/research/personas/application-developer.md
  • Role: Application Developer
  • Profile: Intermediate technical proficiency, focused on feature velocity and code quality
  • Key Pain Points:
  • Deployment complexity and anxiety (30-60 min monitoring per deployment)

  • Primary Goals:
  • Deliver measurable business outcomes
  • Reduce time-to-market to <6 weeks
  • Maintain visibility into development and platform health
  • Demonstrate platform ROI to leadership
  • Based On: 6 interviews with product managers and stakeholders
